hello,
I know that St. George & St. Shenouda in New jersey has a downloadable presentation that has liturgies, praises, etc. Does anyone know how I can get the same thing but to use on a Mac computer instead of a PC since this one does not work on Mac OS? Please advice. Thanks

Also on the same note. I'm trying to use the St. George & St. Shenouda program (which is excellent by the way...God bless all your efforts) on a laptop which has windows 7 and a laptop that has windows vista. Any time I try to switch on the presentation menu from let's say the Annual Liturgy link to the Book of hours link or Tasbeha link it gets stuck on the screen that says Analyzing Environment 0% and won't budge. On the first time through it flys through to 100% but when I go back to the main menu and try to switch it gets stuck. Any suggestions or things I am doing wrong. Thank you.

the only way to solve this problem is to use a software on the Mac to open .exe files. |

As people here have suggested you would need to use WINE, VMWare or Bootcamp or something like that to run windows programs on a Mac.
God bless,

Hey Guys,
I have what you're looking for!
I am not currently doing slides for my church however I was doing this service for many years and collected about 1,8000 power point presentations for different church service. If you need anything at all, let me know!
I also have old copies of the St. George and St. Shenouda file from back when they were still using powerpoint. If you don't like that then I also have copies of other really awesome slides.
Let me know what you need and I'll take care of it. Just email me at georgemekhaiel@gmail.com

Go to the Task Manager (Right click on the start menu bar - right of the icons, not the start button) Go to Process and End Task for powerpoint.exe. Then the "Analyzing Environment" goes up to 100%. The program St Shenouda Church used only works correctly on Windows XP. This program cannot end Powerpoint correctly. So you'll have to force it to end through the Task Manager. Hope this helps.

to be more specfic....you are forced to end the show using the program itself....meaning goin to the last slide and click next and that end the ppt correctly. |

Thank you all for your replies.
I noticed when using the program on Windows Vista there is a button on the main menu page "Kill Processes" that works well to do the same. How come I don't see this same button when I use the program on Windows 7? Thanks again. |

Happy St. Mary's Fast,
There are two very simple responses to these questions.
1) If you are a Mac user, look for a program called "Crossover". download it, then download presentations, and it should work. There are some settings and things you have to do for the first time, but I think you can figure it out. not brain surgery.
2) USUALLY, the case with the analyzing environment thing, you've gotta right-click and press "end show" as oppose to just clicking the "ESC" button.
Let me know if you have any further problems.

Also does anyone know if the St. Shenouda church is going to update that program? Just curious.
thanks,
